The Envision Med Programme is a 15-month programme designed for year 12 students of Black African and Caribbean heritage, including students of mixed race heritage who have aspirations to study Medicine in the UK. The programme takes a holistic approach with aims to provide the students with support for the application process whilst placing emphasis on making them a well-rounded competitive applicant.

We at Melanin Medics are passionate about widening aspirations and promoting diversity in Medicine. We believe that if we increase representation at medical school, we can further increase representation of individuals of Black African and Caribbean heritage in the medical profession. The Envision Med Programme is a part of our many contributions towards making this happen.

The Programme

As someone with a Melanin Medics mentor, I am so grateful for this platform because it really is a place of insight. It plays a key role in making dreams into reality by defying social norms and empowering young people. I’m at a lost for words for what this platform means.”
