MM Conference 2021: The Future in Mind

An online virtual conference reflecting on the role of black medics and exploring how we can support the careers and wellbeing of doctors and medical students from black African and Caribbean backgrounds. 

Following the impact of COVID-19 on the ethnic minority workforce and communities, we will explore their roles as healthcare providers, educators, patients and leaders within their communities. The conference aims to enable attendees to take action to better support themselves, their colleagues and communities.

Our virtual conference brings together our network members and supporters to reflect on experiences of medical students and doctors from black African and Caribbean backgrounds prior to the pandemic, developments during the pandemic and explore the opportunities and future we can work towards.

The event will be completely online and will feature a programme of sessions and a range of national speakers.
